About the Project
Most cutting and fabrication of sheet metal will be completed in Fargo, ND and shipped to job sites in Jamestown and Ellendale. Contractors will primarily assemble and hang ductwork to ceilings and walls in a large commercial facility (data center-like environment). Flexibility to move between projects as needed is required.
Pay & Per Diem
Apprentices: $18–$24/hr + $120/day per diem (for each day worked)Licensed Journeymen: Starting at $29/hr + $120/day per diem (for each day worked)Overtime available; schedule is 5×10s. This is a year-long commercial project with opportunity to transition to contract-to-hire for those who wish to stay with the company.
What You’ll Do
Assemble, install, and secure sheet metal ductwork (ceilings/walls) per drawings and site plansWork with onsite teams to ensure accurate layout, alignment, and fit-upMeasure, mark, and verify dimensions; maintain high standards of safety and qualityNavigate indoor/outdoor environments in North Dakota weatherMaintain tool accountability and readiness; coordinate with site leadership for materials/hardwareTools & Equipment
Contractors must bring and use the following sheet-metal hand tools:
C-clamp vise grip & regular vise grip16 oz sheet metal hammerFlathead screwdriverUtility knifeWide nose pliersLeft/right hand cut snipsAll power tools required for the work will be provided by BDT.
Qualifications (Must-Haves)
Previous experience in sheet metal or HVAC duct installationAbility to read blueprints and use measuring tools accuratelyComfortable working at heights and in a variety of weather conditionsStrong attention to detail, safety, and jobsite cleanlinessNice to Have

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Fargo, ND.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $18.00 - $40.00/hr.
