Sheet Metal Estimator / Project Manager

We’re looking for a Sheet Metal Estimator / Project Manager to join a well-established mechanical contractor in the commercial construction industry.
Our client is a reputable Calgary-based contractor recognized for delivering high-quality commercial sheet metal and HVAC construction across a wide range of building projects. Their work includes tenant improvements, mixed-use buildings, schools, restaurants, universities, CRUs, and the everyday spaces people live and work in.
This role is ideal for someone who combines hands-on estimating expertise with project management experience in commercial sheet metal construction. You will be involved from bid preparation through project handover, supporting successful delivery from start to finish.
Responsibilities Prepare detailed sheet metal estimates for commercial construction projects Review drawings, specifications, and tender documents Perform material take-offs and labor calculations Utilize AutoBid software to develop accurate and competitive bids Analyze supplier and subcontractor pricing Collaborate with project managers and operations teams during bid handover Support project execution with practical project management insight Maintain organized estimating files and documentation The Successful Candidate Has 4+ years of experience in commercial sheet metal estimating and project management Technical diploma, trade background, or equivalent industry experience Strong knowledge of HVAC and sheet metal systems in building construction Experience on projects such as tenant improvements, mixed-use buildings, schools, restaurants, universities, and CRUs Experience estimating projects valued from $10K to $3M+ CAD Familiarity with AutoBid or similar estimating software Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple bid deadlines Compensation and Benefits Salary range: $100,000 – $120,000 CAD, depending on experience Candidates with additional experience and higher compensation expectations may also be considered Comprehensive benefits package Long-term stability with a consistent project pipeline Supportive and collaborative team environment Candidates must be legally authorized to work in Canada.
