At GDIT, we foster a people-focused and customer-centric environment in delivering Enterprise Apps services.  As a SharePoint Engineer supporting the Government, charged with engineering solutions which integrate SharePoint services with load balancing systems, enhance existing technologies, and provides a roadmap for the customer’s future infrastructure.

In this role, a typical day may include:

Designs and defines system architecture and system design documentation for new or existing computer systemsAnalyzes user requirements, concept of operations documents, and high-level system architectures to develop system requirements specificationsAnalyzes system requirements and leads design and development activitiesGuides users in formulating requirements, advises alternative approaches, and conducts feasibility studiesProvides technical leadership for the integration of requirements, design, and technologyIncorporates new plans, designs and systems into ongoing operationsGuides system development and implementation planning through assessment or preparation of system engineering management plans and system integration and test plansInteracts with the Government regarding Systems Engineering technical considerations and for associated problems, issues or conflictsResponsible for the technical integrity of work performed and deliverables associated with the Systems Engineering area of responsibilityCommunicate with other program personnel, government overseers, and senior executives

WHAT YOU’LL NEED:

Active TS/SCI clearance and ability to obtain and maintain a CI poly.Must meet DoD 8570 IAT Level II requirements including one of the following: Security+ CE, CND, SSCP, GSEC, GICSP, CySA+, or CCNA SecurityBachelor’s Degree in a related technical discipline + 8 years’ experience or the equivalent combination of education, technical certification or training, or work/military experienceExperience increasing the scope of SharePoint indexing to external sources and improving relevance of search resultsExperience managing SharePoint OnlineExperience managing SharePoint on-premises infrastructure and applicationsExperience with implementing SharePoint security and access controls. Knowledge of best practices like role-based access control (RBAC), multi-factor authentication (MFA), and data loss prevention (DLP) policies is important.Strong knowledge of PowerApps and Power Automate for business process automationExperience creating and customizing SharePoint solutions, including web parts, workflows, and content management features.Experience in back-end programming languages, i.e. Python, JavaScript, Java, Perl, Ruby, C++, etc)

DESIRED SKILLS:

Proficiency in PowerShell scripting for automation and advanced troubleshooting tasksCertifications: Microsoft Azure Administrator certification (e.g., AZ-104) or equivalentMicrosoft 365 Certified: Teams Administrator Associate or Enterprise AdministratorUnderstanding of user interface and user experience design principles for creating user-friendly SharePoint solutions
