SFMC Automation Developer
Job Description Insight Global is looking for a Salesforce Marketing Cloud Automation Developer to join a leading banking client downtown Toronto. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about delivering seamless, data-driven marketing experiences. The qualified candidate will be required to work onsite 3x/week. Key Responsibilities: Marketing Automation Execution - Build and manage campaigns using Salesforce Marketing Cloud: Journey Builder, Automation Studio, and Contact Builder; experience with Advertising Studio is a plus. - Develop responsive email templates using HTML and AMPScript (or similar scripting languages). - Collaborate with the Senior Developer and Scrum Master to manage campaign production workflows. - Set up and maintain data integration points to support multi-channel journeys (email, direct mail, online advertising, etc.). - Implement testing strategies and conduct QA to ensure accuracy in code, journey mapping, and audience segmentation. - Deploy advanced email strategies including dynamic content, triggered sends, segmentation, and preference management. Operational Excellence - Define and maintain standards, processes, and procedures aligned with industry best practices and the Enterprise Digital Center of Excellence. - Troubleshoot and resolve deliverability issues. - Adhere to production schedules and provide timely updates to stakeholders. - Document campaign outcomes and communicate progress and recommendations regularly. Brand & Compliance - Ensure all marketing automation assets comply with brand guidelines, privacy and security policies, and deployment processes. - Monitor unsubscribe, bounce, and complaint rates; ensure compliance with spam regulations (e.g., CAN-SPAM, CASL, PIPEDA). - Govern content production with a strong understanding of governance and compliance requirements. Reporting & Optimization - Provide post-campaign reporting and performance analysis. - Monitor key metrics and offer strategic recommendations based on trends and best practices. Database Marketing & Integration - Understand CRM and database marketing principles. - Automate data flows between internal databases and Salesforce Marketing Cloud. Risk Management & Control - Evaluate the effectiveness of journey mapping and email deployment initiatives. - Identify and escalate issues to the Scrum Master and Senior Manager as needed.
