SEXUAL ASSAULT RESPONSE COORDINATOR

Please see Additional Information Responsibilities You will serve coordinate response activities and oversee both military and civilian SAPR VAs in providing a non-clinical response to adult victims of sexual assault. You will inform victims of the resources available and manage reports of retaliation, reprisal, ostracism, maltreatment sexual harassment, or to request a transfer in accordance with DoD and Service policy. You will assist victims to identify and prioritize referrals and SAPR program resources tailored to their unique needs, prioritizing victim self-determination and informed decision making. You will develop and maintain ongoing working relationships with available military and civilian resources to aid in the process of providing a warm and off virtually or in-person to other resources, as applicable. You will assist in program evaluation and improvement initiatives by providing feedback and suggestions to the supervisor, as applicable. You will plan, schedule, and deliver comprehensive SAPR training for stakeholders and local populations, covering SAPR policies, procedures, reporting options, and their pertinent topics. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector develop preventative measures against behaviors such as suicide, sexual assault, sexual harassment, substance misuse and family and interpersonal violence; identifying risk factors that lead to unhealthy and unsafe behaviors; AND coordinating prevention activities, trainings, and communication campaigns; effective written and verbal communication to collaborate with internal and external personnel. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. Education Applicants must meet the following positive education qualifications requirements of the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualifications Standards Manual: Applicants must possess: Degree: behavioral or social science; or related disciplines appropriate to the position. OR Combination of education and experience that provided the applicant with knowledge of one or more of the behavioral or social sciences equivalent to a major in the field. OR Four years of appropriate experience that demonstrated that the applicant has acquired knowledge of one or more of the behavioral or social sciences equivalent to a major in the field. Additional Information Employees (and their family members) who require medical or dental care in Japan may experience severe limitations accessing medical care both on the military installation and the local economy, and also could incur costly medical expenses. This position is covered by the Department of Defense Priority Placement Program. Several vacancies may be filled. Tour of duty is 24 months. This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time. Relocation expenses (i.e. PCS) for candidates outside of the commuting area are authorized in accordance with applicable travel regulations and Department of Navy Policy. Relocation incentives as described in 5 USC 5753 may be authorized in accordance with applicable command policy. A relocation incentive is generally a single payment intended to offset some of the relocation costs experienced by the selectee. A relocation incentive may be authorized.
