Job Title: Sexual Assault Case Manager

Location: Saint Charles, MO

Department: Domestic Violence

Employment Type: Full-time

Job Summary: 

The Sexual Assault Case Manager is responsible for providing access to services in the community and case management for survivors of sexual assault. Onsite or within the community.

Key Responsibilities:

Facilitate various psycho-educational groups.

Maintain an up-to-date referral and resource manual that would include information regarding housing, economic assistance, legal, medical, and community resources that would benefit domestic violence victims.

Provide assistance to all clients as they attempt to resolve the practical problems of living that have resulted from abuse: housing dilemmas, economic uncertainty, employment, child care, etc.

Work with all individuals who contact the hotline or enter shelter or outreach, to create a viable safety plan.

Work with residential and outreach clients to create goals and interventions and provide any needed support.

Chart in electronic health records all pertinent information including individual sessions and document progress toward achieving goals.

Provide transportation to residents for goal-related activities and appointments.

Answer 24 hour hotline and provide crisis support and advocacy as needed.

Conduct telephone intakes for women seeking shelter or resources and willing to enter our program.

Complete necessary documentation for clients and/or those contacting the hotline.

Provide crisis intervention support.

Coordinate community outreach.

Create and maintain client files.

Provide ongoing support to community members and organizations regarding Sexual Violence.

Provide advocacy to clients.

Complete and track monthly outcomes and complete reports as requested for grant purposes.

Attend meetings in the community to network and maintain professional relationships in order to effectively serve clients.

Provide ongoing information during staffing regarding individual issues and concerns, as well as clients’ progress towards goals and discharge plan.

Maintain a supportive, professional relationship with all staff, volunteers, and students.

Participate in QI activities.

Complete other Duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Experience and Education Qualifications:

Graduate from an accredited college or university with Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, Sociology, or a related field;

OR

Graduate from an accredited college or university with Associate Degree and one (1) year experience in human services field;

OR

Three (3) years experience providing case management and advocacy pertaining to resource acquisition in a human service organization;

OR

A survivor of domestic violence who has demonstrated knowledge and/or experience working in the field of domestic violence and two years experience in a human services organization.
