As a Set Up Technician, you will be responsible for configuring the punch press with the correct tools and dies to ensure optimal operation. Your role involves programming the machine with precise codes, running the machine, and verifying that the parts are stamped correctly according to specifications. You will use calipers and micrometers to check the parts against the prints, and work with various materials such as coils, foil, and blanks. Your mechanical inclination and troubleshooting skills will be vital, and a background in machining or tool and die is highly advantageous.

ResponsibilitiesSet up the punch press with the correct tools and dies.Program the machine with accurate codes.Run the machine and verify the parts are stamped correctly to specifications.Use calipers and micrometers to verify parts against prints.Work with different materials including coils, foil, and blanks.Troubleshoot and assist operators with any issues.Conduct random tests during the cycle run to ensure parts are stamped correctly.Essential Skills1 year of prior machine setup experience in a metal fabrication environment.Ability to troubleshoot and perform quality checks.Proficiency in reading and understanding blueprints.Mechanical inclination.Additional Skills & Qualificationsbackground in machining or tool and die is a big plus.Experience in programming is highly beneficial.Why Work Here?

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $40.00/hr.
