Services Proposals Analyst 1
The Intermediate Engineer is responsible for coordinating and managing the technical and/or commercial aspects of proposals. This position will have overall accountability for the technical and commercial offering including bill of materials, Enterprise Estimating Tool (EET) reports, pricing, contractual terms, and writing and assembling the technical and commercial portion of the proposal narrative. This person is often the main point of contact of at least two proposals processes and provides reports and upper management support **In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:** + Compile the information of services, materials, buyouts, and other proposal components like pricing, payment terms, cash flow analysis, commercial compliance and proposal basis terms and conditions. + Provide assistance with the development of the commercial proposal strategy to mitigate project commercial risk exposure and promote the execution team to allow scope and profitability growth. + Develop work practices for the assigned processes. + Work with the Technical, Legal, Procurement, other Emerson Divisions, and the Technical Writers to ensure that all proposal related information is incorporated into the proposal submission documentation. + Work with the other proposal team members to develop Risk and Opportunity Assessments and Mitigation Reviews. + Manage clarifications and assumptions and ensure information contained within is properly presented in the proposal narrative in order to effectively bound scope and supply requirements. + Take ownership of all information required/contained within Emerson’s estimating tools. + Complete client required Technical and commercial formats as necessary. + Assist in the development of Delegation of Authority (DOA) approval presentations. + Ensure the timely and appropriate generation, collection, dissemination, storage, and disposition of proposal information. + Demonstrate ability to influence others, from staff to senior leaders through a strong presence, thoughtful challenges, and use of sound judgment. + Update project and reference databases, libraries, metrics, pricing tools, etc. + Identify and develop best practices to include into the corporate standards + Ensure the implementation of best practices and processes in proposal efforts + Administrate and monitor assigned processes + Provide support to the team (Price Book / Quoting tools) + Possibility to work on more than 3 different industry applications. + Show expertise, quality and value added. **Who You Are:** + You persist in accomplishing objectives despite obstacles and setbacks. You create teamwork allowing others across the organization to achieve shared objectives. **For This Role, You Will Need:** + At least 3 years of closely related experience + BS in Electronics, Electrical, Electromechanical, Mechatronics or related field + Advanced skills in the Microsoft Office suite of tools, especially Word, Excel and PowerPoint + Knowledgeable in control and PLC/DCS, 3rd party integration, applications and interfaces + Knowledgeable in field instrumentation, metering, control and automated valves, and bus technologies + At least B2 Upper Intermediate level of English. **Preferred Qualifications That Set You Apart:** + At least 5 years of closely related experience. **Our Culture & Commitment to You:** At Emerson, we prioritize a workplace where every employee is valued, respected, and empowered to grow.
