ServiceNow Lead Software Engineer

The Enterprise Functions Technology (EFT) group provides technology solutions and support for Risk, Audit, Finance, Marketing, Human Resources, Corporate Properties, and Stakeholder Relations business lines. In addition, EFT provides unique technology solutions and innovation for Wells Fargo Technology, Enterprise Shared Services, and Enterprise Data Management. This combined portfolio of applications and tools are continually engineered to meet the challenges of stability, security, scalability, and speed.

We’re seeking a ServiceNow Lead Software Engineer for the ServiceNow Stewardship & Delivery Empowerment team.  The ServiceNow ecosystem at Wells Fargo is large and complex, with over 50 product teams from multiple Lines of Businesses delivering on the platform.  Our team ensures the integrity and scalability of the ServiceNow platform by establishing and enforcing standards which promote consistency, reduce risk, and accelerate value delivery across the enterprise.  We empower teams through clear and concise documentation, technical oversight, and collaborative engagement, enabling innovation while safeguarding platform health and stability.

In this role you will define standards and best processes, build automation to ensure adherence, innovate with AI, and develop and maintain ‘ServiceNow Central,’ a portal for ServiceNow product teams and business stakeholders.


In this role, you will:

Lead complex technology initiatives including those that are companywide with broad impactAct as a key participant in developing standards and companywide best practices for engineering complex and large-scale technology solutions for technology engineering disciplinesDesign, code, test, debug, and document for projects and programsReview and analyze complex, large-scale technology solutions for tactical and strategic business objectives, enterprise technological environment, and technical challenges that require in-depth evaluation of multiple factors, including intangibles or unprecedented technical factorsMake decisions in developing standard and companywide best practices for engineering and technology solutions requiring understanding of industry best practices and new technologies, influencing and leading technology team to meet deliverables and drive new initiativesCollaborate and consult with key technical experts, senior technology team, and external industry groups to resolve complex technical issues and achieve goalsLead projects, teams, or serve as a peer mentor


Required Qualifications:

5+ years of Software Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education3+ years of ServiceNow experience in building, implementing, and maintaining platform technologies, workflows and integrations2+ years of JavaScript development experience2+ years of RESTful or SOAP web services2+ years of Agile experienceValid ServiceNow CSA (Certified Systems Administrator) certification

Desired Qualifications:

EC pro experienceServiceNow CAD (Certified Application Developer) certificationCustom application development within ServiceNowAdvanced oral, written and presentation communications including the ability to present technical information in a way that non-technical audiences will understandAdvanced problem solving and technical troubleshooting capabilitiesStrong analytical skills and ability to solve complex technical problemsExperience educating/mentoring less-experienced staff

Job Expectations:

Must be able to work onsite minimum of 3 days per week in one of the posted locationsAbility to work additional hours as neededAbility to work outside of regular business hours

Pay Range
 

Reflected is the base pay range offered for this position. Pay may vary depending on factors including but not limited to achievements, skills, experience, or work location. The range listed is just one component of the compensation package offered to candidates.

$119,000.00 - $224,000.00
