This Position reports to:
Field Service Manager
Key responsibilities
In this role, you will be responsible for independently performing service assignments for our customers, primarily in the chemical industry. You will support automation and process control systems at all levels, from field level to control technology and process control. Your responsibilities will include commissioning, maintenance and troubleshooting, enabling you to make a significant contribution to plant availability and customer satisfaction.
You will be mainly accountable for:
Independently conducting on-site service assignments at customer sites, including commissioning, maintenance, troubleshooting, system migrations, and expansions of existing systems
Supporting and maintaining automation and process control systems (e.g., ABB 800xA, Melody, Freelance) including the associated hardware, PC, and network systems (Windows-based systems, network technology)
Preparing for deployments, providing technical consultancy and producing documentation, including material planning, schedule tracking and making recommendations for system solutions and optimitzation potential during ongoing operations
Building and maintaining long-term customer relationships through competent on-site service, and participating in on-call duty after a structured training period.

Qualifications for the role
Successfully completed training as a state-certified technician or equivalent qualification in electrical engineering, automation technology, mechatronics or plant engineering.
Initial practical experience in process automation, control technology, or maintenance of industrial plants – ideally in the chemical or process engineering industry
Knowledge of process control technology (e.g., ABB 800xA, Melody, Freelance), network technology, and IT systems (Windows, Linux) is an advantage
Independent, structured, and customer-oriented working style
Occasional willingness to travel within Germany and be on call
Fluency in written and spoken German; knowledge of English is advantageous
