Service Technician (Diesel)

We’re looking for a Mechanical Service Technician who has experience with Diesel Engines or Generators. The role will be focusing on Malaysia, and the main job function is to focus on the Operation and Maintenance of Aggreko’s Modular fleets such as Diesel Generators, Gas Generators, Load Banks, Chillers, AC, and Cooling Towers. To optimize performance of fleets with preventive and condition-based maintenance.

What you’ll do:

Perform mechanical servicing activities and general equipment maintenance in line with operating procedures and work instructions including A & B service, green carding / post contract assessment & pre-delivery inspection, engine fault finding / repair and preventative maintenance.Respond effectively to technical support of field equipment breakdowns in timely manner in and out of working hours when required.Other duties that are deemed essential for effective operations and service as requested.Use of air tools, hand tools, torque tools, overhead cranes, lifting and slinging equipment and measuring equipmentEnsure the completion of equipment repairs is on time, to standard and within agreed budgets for both specific repairs and overall department budgets.Involvement in Continuous Improvement projects and activitiesAggreko places a strong emphasis on Quality, Health, Safety and Environmental protection. It is a requirement and moral obligation of each employee to be actively committed and accountable for compliance with the Aggreko Health, Safety & Environmental policies, procedures, and local legislation, and ensure completion and validity of all minimum QHSE training and objectives required by the company.Working strictly in accordance with company policies and procedures

You’ll have the following skills and experience:

Min 3 Years Experience Working in  Diesel Engines and generators.Experience in a heavy engineering environment preferably with a strong knowledge of Service and repair methods with experience of assembling mechanical systems.Experience in Troubleshooting/Diagnosis/Repair/Assembly of Diesel GeneratorsUnderstand and interpret engineering drawings.Experience of working on electrical fitting/wiring would be advantageExcellent verbal communicationAble to work under pressure and deliver tasks on time, to a high level of quality and accuracy, with strong attention to detail.Able to travel within short noticeDiploma or Higher in Mechanical Engineering or Electro- Mechanical Engineering or Mechatronics Engineering
