Our client, a leading gas and welding supply distributor, is seeking a Service Technician to join their team. As a Service Technician, you will be part of the Service and Rental department supporting a diverse range of equipment and clients. This position would troubleshoot malfunctioning electrical welding units as well as inspect returned rental equipment. The technician will work on a variety of equipment including: MIG, TIG, and Stick welders, Plasma Cutters, Robotics, and diesel and gas engine driven welders and generators.

Pay Range: $23 - $28/hour
Position Type: 4 Month Contract-to-Hire
Shift: Monday through Friday, typical shifts start between 7am – 9am and work until 3:30 – 5:30.
What's the Job?
Diagnose mechanical and/or electronic problems in welding equipment. Perform preventative maintenance, inspections, and tests on welders. Repair wiring and electronic components as needed. Read schematics, order parts, and install components efficiently. Provide warranty service on various welding brands including Lincoln and Miller.What's Needed?
Knowledge of electricity and electronics. Excellent diagnostic and troubleshooting skills. Able to work with minimal supervision or direction. Electronic or Mechanical vocational degree OR at least 5 years of experience with welding equipment maintenance. Willingness to secure Lincoln and Miller “Certified Technician” status - company paid.What's in it for me?
