How do you excel in this position\n
The Service Technician is responsible for preventative maintenance, inspections, start-ups, upgrades, repairs, troubleshooting, and safe operation of applicable equipment and associated system components to meet the intent of the project\/service call requirements.\n
What are we looking for:\n\nHigh School Diploma or equivalent and at least 5 years of related experience, or the equivalent combination of education (technical school) and experience.\nExperience in the construction or HVAC industry required including, but not limited to boilers, burners, combustion controls, psychometrics, and clean, dry refrigeration piping systems.\nDemonstrated knowledge of control theory, automatic temperature controls, building automation systems and other building subsystems. \nKnowledge of HVAC&R theory, solid mechanical, electrical troubleshooting and repair skills required.\nKnowledgeable in the use of VOM Meters, Refrigerant tools, torches, Brazing and soldering required.\nAbility to read wiring diagrams, mechanical layouts and blueprints required.\nAbility to communicate with customers and coworkers regarding inspection and service findings is required.\nMust have or be able to obtain EPA CFC Certification- Universal.\nBe highly motivated and an independent thinker.\nMust be able to thrive in a fast pace setting and adapt\/be flexible in a changing environment.\nAbility to multi-task, work under pressure and meet deadlines required.\nOperating knowledge of Microsoft office software and working proficiency with handheld devices, such as Smartphones, iPads, etc.\nMust have current (within 5 years) or be able to obtain 10-hour OSHA certification. 30-hour OSHA is a plus.\nValid driver's license.\nParticipate in on-call rotation.\nTravel required. Must be able to travel to job sites 100% of the time. Also included is travel to manufacturers for training and office meetings.\n\n
