Job Description
The Field Service Technician is responsible for repairing and maintaining industrial batteries, chargers, and battery handling equipment in a timely and efficient manner. Additionally, the technician is tasked with investigating and resolving customers' technical issues and providing recommended solutions. The role also requires learning to install, troubleshoot, and support Stationary Division equipment.
ResponsibilitiesRepair and maintain industrial batteries, chargers, and battery handling equipment.Investigate and resolve technical issues for customers.Learn and support Stationary Division equipment, including installation and troubleshooting.Follow all company policies and procedures, including safety and environmental standards, OSHA, DOT Hazmat, and ISO9000 regulations.Operate material handling equipment as per OSHA requirements.Enter test results and relevant information into the ERP CRM system.Perform time sheet updates, stock adjustments, inventory disbursements, and log work performed in the shop using ERP CRM.Disassemble cells, inspect parts for defects, replace defective parts, and reassemble batteries using a gas torch.Fill cells with acid solution and determine the specific gravity of the solution.Schedule and prioritize evaluations of batteries and chargers for testing.Conduct load tests on returned demo/rental batteries and update the ERP system with results.Provide quotes for necessary repairs on industrial batteries and chargers.Conduct in-house testing and repairs of industrial chargers.Essential Skills2+ years of electrical experience, including the use of multimeters or voltmeters.Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.Ability to repair and diagnose forklifts and other mechanical equipment.Possession of a valid driver's license, or the ability to obtain one.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience with ERP CRM systems for inventory and work logging.Ability to operate material handling equipment in compliance with OSHA standards.Familiarity with DOT Hazmat and ISO9000 regulations.Why Work Here?

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $24.00 - $30.00/hr.
