We’re looking Service Team Leader – HV Electrical for Chennai, responsible for overseeing and coordinating a team of technicians and engineers who maintain, repair, and commission high voltage (HV) electrical systems. This role is typically found in industries such as power generation, utilities, manufacturing, and large infrastructure projects.

Team Leadership: Supervise, mentor, and support HV electrical service technicians, ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and to high standards.Project Coordination: Plan, allocate, and monitor tasks for HV electrical maintenance, repairs, and installations.Technical Expertise: Provide hands-on technical guidance and troubleshooting for HV electrical systems (e.g., switchgear, transformers, protection relays).Safety Compliance: Ensure all work adheres to relevant safety regulations, company policies, and industry standards.Customer Interaction: Liaise with clients to understand requirements, provide updates, and ensure customer satisfaction.Documentation: Oversee accurate completion of service reports, risk assessments, and maintenance records.Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities to improve service delivery, team performance, and technical processes.You’ll have the following skills and experience:
Technical Diploma or Degree:Diploma Electrical EngineeringBachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or a related fieldHigh Voltage Authorization:Certification or authorization to work on HV systems (e.g., 11kV, 33kV, or higher)Electrical Safety Training:Completion of relevant safety courses (e.g., IOSH, NEBOSH, or equivalent)First Aid Certification:Basic first aid and emergency response trainingHV Electrical Experience:Several years (typically 5+) of hands-on experience with HV electrical systems, including maintenance, commissioning, and fault diagnosisTeam Leadership:Proven experience supervising or leading technical teamsProject Management:Experience planning and coordinating electrical service projectsTechnical Skills:In-depth knowledge of HV switchgear, transformers, protection relays, and testing equipmentCommunication:Strong verbal and written communication skills for client and team interactionsProblem-Solving:Ability to troubleshoot complex electrical issuesDriving License:Valid driver’s license (often required for site visits)Additional Qualifications:
