DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Customer Service & Front-End Leadership
Assist the Service Operations Manager with daily job duties and responsibilities.
Champion corporate and division customer service programs to meet or exceed division goals.
Direct and supervise front-end operations, including:
Monitoring and directing customer traffic flow
Ensuring adequate lane coverage
Maintaining cleanliness and appearance of the front-end sales floor, restrooms, entryway, and parking lot
Checkstand & Merchandising Standards
Maintain a fresh, full appearance of checkstand merchandisers.
Maintain clean and organized checkstands with proper signage.
Compliance & Policy Enforcement
Comply with—and ensure team compliance with—Company policies and procedures, including:
Cash handling and employee purchase policies
Restricted product sales (alcohol/tobacco)
Coupon and gift card policies
Scan accuracy
Supervising minor employees
Product return policy and WIC procedures
Sanitation, safety, and security standards
Grooming and dress code standards
Check acceptance procedures
Report policy violations to store management.
Cash Handling & Financial Controls
Ensure accurate operation and functionality of the Point of Sale (POS) system.
Assist with cash flow accountability including:
Safe transactions
Issues and pickups
Tills and cashier fund-handling procedures
Check acceptance and refunds
Collaborate with the Scan/FMC team to ensure scanning file issues are corrected promptly.
May perform tasks such as:
Running totals on tills
Preparing and proofing daily deposit slips
Completing all Front-End forms
Reporting issues to the Service Operations Manager
Customer Service Center
Understand all customer service center functions and provide services as needed.
Answer and respond to incoming calls appropriately.
Operational Support
Serve as a cashier when needed.
Perform all job duties with honesty, integrity, and full compliance with Company policies and procedures.
Perform other necessary and required duties as assigned.
