Duties and Responsibilities Customer Service & Front-End Support
Assist the Service Operations Manager with assigned responsibilities and daily operational tasks.
Champion corporate and division customer service programs to meet or exceed established service goals.
Monitor and direct customer traffic flow, ensuring adequate lane coverage and an efficient checkout experience.
Ensure cleanliness and professional appearance of the front-end sales floor, restrooms, entryway, and parking lot.
Maintain the fresh, full appearance of checkstand merchandisers and ensure checkstands are clean and properly signed.
Answer incoming calls professionally and respond appropriately to customer inquiries and concerns.
Policy Compliance & Operational Standards
Comply with—and ensure team compliance with—all company policies and procedures, including:
Cash Handling
Employee Purchases
Restricted Product Sales (alcohol/tobacco)
Coupon and Gift Card Policies
Scan Accuracy
Supervision of Minor Employees
Product Return Policy
WIC and Check Acceptance
Sanitation, Safety, Security
Grooming and Dress Code Standards
Report all policy violations to store management promptly.
Ensure proper operation and accuracy of the Point‑of‑Sale (POS) system.
Cash Handling, Accountability & Reporting
Assist in managing all cash flow procedures including safe transactions, cash pickups, till management, check acceptance, and refund processes.
Work with the Scan/FMC Team to ensure scanning file discrepancies are corrected promptly.
Perform duties such as:
Running totals on all tills
Preparing and proofing daily deposit slips
Completing front‑end forms and documentation
Report problems or discrepancies to the Service Operations Manager.
Serve as a cashier as needed.
Customer Service Center Support
Maintain full understanding of customer service center functions and provide services to customers as required.
Perform all job duties with honesty, integrity, and adherence to company policies.
Team Support & Training
Assist in training employees on store policies, sales processes, and record‑keeping procedures.
Support positive associate relations and reinforce high customer service standards.
Additional Responsibilities
Perform other necessary and required duties as assigned.
