Position Summary
The Service Operations Assistant supports daily front‑end operations by assisting with customer service execution, associate support, and operational tasks. This role works closely with Service Operations leadership to ensure efficient checkout flow, policy compliance, and a positive customer experience.
Key Responsibilities
Support daily front‑end operations, including registers, self‑checkout, courtesy desk, and customer service functions
Assist with supervising and supporting front‑end associates to meet service and productivity standards
Help manage lane coverage, breaks, and customer flow throughout the day
Provide excellent customer service and assist with resolving customer questions and service concerns
Support cash handling procedures, register accountability, and till accuracy
Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and front‑end standards
Assist with training and onboarding of new front‑end associates
Monitor cleanliness, organization, and safety of front‑end work areas
Support enforcement of refunds, ID checks, and loss prevention policies
Communicate operational needs, issues, and opportunities to Service Operations leadership
Assist with administrative tasks such as daily checklists and reports as assigned
Uphold safety standards and participate in store‑wide safety and loss prevention initiatives
Qualifications
Previous retail or customer service experience preferred
Prior lead or supervisory experience a plus
Strong communication and customer service skills
Ability to multitask and work in a fast‑paced environment
Basic register and cash handling experience preferred
Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25–50 pounds
Flexibility to work varying shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays
