Service Manager-SSS (East Coast)
​ Responsible for the strategic planning, execution and management of activities within the area to meet growth, operational profitability, and quality objectives. Utilizes a wide array of knowledge, technical skills, and critical-thinking abilities to facilitate Stryker’s Sustainability Solutions Service function through direct management of a team of Associate Service Managers, Regional Service Supervisors, and Field Operations Specialists. + Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing area service team, including Associate Service Managers (ASM), Regional Service Supervisors (RSS), and Field Operations Specialists (FOS) across multiple geographies. + Own the area talent strategy: hiring, onboarding, performance management, succession planning, and career path development for all service roles in the area. + Serve as the escalation point and strategic support for ASM’s and RSS’s managing day-to-day operations. + Promote a culture of accountability, service excellence, continuous improvement, and team cohesion. + Translate national service strategy into actionable area execution plan with measurable results while guiding and aligning the creation of regional service execution plans. + Partner with area and regional sales leadership to align service initiatives with growth objectives, collection targets, and customer expectations. + Ensure consistent execution of the service management system across the area, including performance goals, huddles, collection strategies, compliance programs, and process adherence. + Use operational metrics (PTQ, in-services, growth, efficiency, etc.) to monitor and drive performance improvements, report results, and guide decision-making. + Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Sales, Marketing, Service Enablement, GQO, and Commercial Operations) to drive service quality and enhance the customer experience. + Support launch and implementation of new customer accounts, ensuring smooth onboarding and alignment with contractual service expectations. + Partner with service enablement to deliver scalable onboarding and ongoing training programs that align with national service standards and business priorities. + Actively contribute to the evolution of tools, training, and technology to improve field effectiveness and efficiency. + Obtain and maintain required credentials for all hospital systems within assigned territory + Leverage insights from field audits and FOS assessments to identify service gaps and implement process improvements. + Understand and manage area-level service productivity, travel, and labor costs in alignment with P&L expectations. + Collaborate with finance, HR, and service leadership to identify opportunities for cost optimization and improved resource utilization. **Education & special trainings:** + ​​​​​B.A. or B.S. required. + ​8+ years of work experience required. + ​3+ years of supervisor/management experience required. + ​Field Service background preferred.​​​​ **Qualifications & experience:** + Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills, demonstratingstrong verbal and written communication. + Excellent time management skills with ability to use independent judgment and critical thinking effectively.  + Must be able to explain and generate detailed guidelines and procedures. + Always demonstrates professional work ethic and attitude. + Strong interpersonal, coaching, and conflict resolution skills. + Must be able to effectively use computer programs (e.g. Word, Excel, Outlook and Power Point). + Experience with Service/CRM tools preferred. + Maintain professional appearance, work ethic, and attitude required by Stryker and the medical facility.  + Adhere to (HIPAA) and other related patient confidentiality policies and procedures. **Physical & mental requirements:** + ​​​​Ability to exert up to 60lbs of force occasionally and/or up to 20lbs of force to constantly move objects. + ​Must have near visual acuity (corrected) color vision, mobility, bending, standing, stooping, and finger dexterity. + ​Must be able to observe and correct minute inconsistencies (e.g. in the printed word, product appearance, etc.). + ​Must be able to communicate telephonically. + ​Must be able to use common office equipment (e.g. PC, calculator, fax machine, etc.)​​​ Health benefits include: Medical and prescription drug insurance, dental insurance, vision insurance, critical illness insurance, accident insurance, hospital indemnity insurance, personalized healthcare support, wellbeing program and tobacco cessation program.
