Service Manager - S-Series Front Mixer

Manage service and warranty support functions, to include administration, field service support, repairs, part requests and recovery. Supervise Field Service Representatives (FSRs). Maintain customer satisfaction and maximum service by providing customers and service providers with technical assistance. Manage local service providers in performance of service, repair parts deliveries and parts recovery. Increase Oshkosh S-Series Front Mixer Parts and Service Sales, support business growth initiatives, and develop aftermarket business opportunities.

YOUR IMPACT

Manage, assign and supervise the work of others

Train and mentor subordinates in the areas of service operations, day-to-day business operations, system measures, or program management.

Travel as required in support of military customers and service providers.

Employee involvement and safety as well as continuous improvement is promoted and supported.

Diagnose, repair, and service S-Series Front Mixer vehicle concerns. If necessary, coordinate with local service providers and FSRs.

Coordinate with customers, service providers, and fellow employees to get service and parts expedited to the customer’s satisfaction.

Anticipate customer needs and develop recommended parts stocking requirements for upcoming field and maintenance operations.

Manage S-Series warranty administration process.

Manage S-Series vehicle retrofit/recall programs.

Coordinate field service reporting and database maintenance.

Assist Vocational aftermarket business development personnel with market resource and identification of new business opportunities.

Develop and report service. Parts and service sales critical issues.

Develop service support and service sub-contractor network in support of service contracts.

Review reports for systemic issues and initiate Continuous Improvement Reports (CIRs) to have corrective actions taken to insulate the customer.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

High School Diploma or GED and seven (7) or more years of relevant experience; or previous contracting experience with Oshkosh Corporation; or an equivalent combination of education and experience that demonstrates the ability to perform the essential functions of the role.

Experience working with maintenance and management on heavy vocational equipment

Two (2) or more years mentoring or leading people.

Ability to travel up to 10% of the time.

STANDOUT QUALIFICATIONS

Working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.

Demonstrated ability to make decisions, problem-solve, and evaluate information.

Good organization and planning skills.

Experience with dispatching process, managing tech utilization, ensuring quality techs via VOC and KPI’s.

WORKING CONDITIONS
The following represents general working conditions for this office-based role. Specific conditions may vary depending on business needs and individual circumstances.

This role is primarily performed in a professional office environment with standard lighting, ventilation, and temperature-controlled settings.

Duties are largely sedentary, requiring extended periods of sitting and using a computer and telephone.

Visual acuity to operate a computer and read documents is required, along with auditory ability to participate in virtual and in-person meetings.

Occasional movement within the office environment is necessary, including walking short distances, standing, or reaching for files.

Pay Range:

$91,800.00 - $153,200.00

The above pay range reflects the minimum and maximum target pay for the position across all U.S. locations. Within this range, individual pay is determined by various factors, including the scope and responsibilities of the role, the candidate's experience, education and skills, as well as the equity of pay among team members in similar positions.
