About youWe are looking for a Service Manager based Sydney, NSW. The main goal of the role is to provide day-to-day management, training, and engagement for field staff, including employee selection, field training and safety.
You will also lead operational efforts and ensure superior customer satisfaction, ensuring the safety and wellbeing of employees and customers while supporting the maintenance and growth of the portfolio.
The role works closely with various stakeholders to achieve business outcomes including Service Mechanics, Field Employees, Operations Manager, Branch Manager, Project Managers, Service/ Branch Administration, Sales Account Representatives, Sales Managers and Sales Coordinators
Permanent role
Reports to the General Manager of Service (NSW)
On a typical day you willEnsure field employee's safety, quality and compliance
Meet with customers to ensure obligations and expectations are achieved and maintain customer quality assurance, managing the expenditure of labor and materials
Responsible for on boarding in the field (such as managing the six month line of sight and apprentice placements)
Direct the performance of field maintenance and contractual service operations
On a roster basis, stand-by as Duty Supervisor to assist night call mechanics and dispatch emergency service parts interstate when necessary, this includes attending to call backs as requested and on weekends
Conduct field education training with field workforce
Improve efficiencies, managing route schedules and callback rates
Provide technical support, working with Service Sales on sales estimation /proposals as required
Authorize repair orders and tracking completion
What you will need to be successful
A Bachelors degree in Construction/Project Management/ Engineering is preferred
Minimum of 3-4 years’ experience supervising and managing teams in a construction/service/trades environment
It is an added advantahe if you have minimum 3 years’ experience as a Trades person within the lift industry
Experience using and working with digital applications for managing work teams and products
Excellent communication skills and leadership skills, and the ability to work in a highly team-oriented and dynamic environment
Strong computer and technology skills, business acumen, and a passion for customer service
