**Evoqua, a Xylem brand:** **Service Manager** **is responsible for leading the Carbon Service and Aftermarket team, ensuring all service activities are executed in alignment with project specifications, safety standards, and customer expectations. This role oversees daily operations, including team scheduling, safety compliance, training, and quality control. The Service Manager plays a critical role in driving operational excellence, fostering a culture of safety, and ensuring high-quality service delivery**
**Supervise 14 Direct Reports**
**Responsibilities:**
**Training and development of technicians**
**Scheduling and assigning tasks to technicians**
**Supervising and monitoring technicians' work performance**
**Ensuring timely completion of projects and tasks**
**Maintaining inventory and purchasing supplies**
**Conducting quality control checks on completed work**
**Manage customer complaints and resolving issues**
**Ensure compliance with safety regulations and protocols**
**Conducting performance evaluations and providing feedback to technicians**
**Creating and implementing standard operating procedures for technicians**
**Collaborating with other departments to coordinate and prioritize work**
**Managing P&L budget and expenses**
**People Management: Hiring, onboarding new technicians and frequent employee reviews**
**Computer Skills: Microsoft Office and Online Database - maintain updated records and documentation of technician work and progress**
**Continuous Improvement, Lean Management - Identify areas for improvement and implementing solutions**
**Staying updated on industry developments and implementing best practices.**
**Team Management: 14 Direct Reports**
**Understand team dynamics and effective management practices. Leaders should be adept at balancing individual tasks with overseeing team performance.**
**Conflict Resolution: Ability to address conflicts within the team professionally and constructively.**
**Motivational Skills: Inspire and motivate team members to achieve their best.**

**Leaders often encounter changing priorities and unexpected challenges. Being adaptable and flexible is crucial.**

**Work becomes routine after a while, and if you took diligent notes and found strong partners (contractors ect) you could leverage that.**
**Technical and mechanical aptitude. *(glued PVC before, worked with Reverse Osmosis / DAF, or other water treatment equipment before, worked with pumps and motors before, worked in power / refining industry before.)**
**Does not need to be an expert, but does need to be able to figure out complex problems.**
**Knows when to ask for help and how to leverage their team and support groups. I.E when and how to delegate.**
**Financial understanding & growth mindset**
**Be able to work with sales to bid, price, and win new jobs and expand to new customers.**
**People leader**
**Look for talent, and ways to grow your team.**
**Willing to travel to customer locations for job walks and to work directly with the team**
**Will not be in office 8-5 every day, likely 30-50% of the time you might be in the office all day rest of the time doing job walks and bidding projects in the field.**
**Qualifications:**
**3-5 years people management and industrial experience** **(Heavy Equipment, Industrial Equipment, Water Treatment Industry**
**Experienced People Manager**
**A bachelor’s degree is preferred.**
**Proven ability to manage technical teams and coordinate complex projects.**
**Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.**
**Excellent problem-solving abilities and decision-making skills.**
**Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, for effective coordination and stakeholder engagement.**
**Ability to identify issues quickly and develop effective solutions.**

**The estimated salary range for this position is $72,300.00 - 110,000, bonus and assigned a vehicle. Starting pay is dependent on multiple factors, such as skills, experience and work location, and is not typically at the top of the range. At Xylem we offer a competitive compensation package with a generous benefit package, including Medical, Dental, Vision plans, 401(k) with company contribution, paid time off, paid parental leave and tuition reimbursement.**
