more than different specialtiesPosition SummaryThe Service Line Director shall provide operational leadership management and execution of the strategic vision that is necessary to ensure consistency across the Pulmonology Specialty Program of the Medical Group The Service Line Director will participate in the development and setting of the strategic direction to appropriately integrate short term and long term goals while driving continuous improvements in such a way as to ensure superior customer service and patient care in a highly efficient and cost effective environmentKey AccountabilitiesBuilds a committed high performance team across multi disciplinary roles for the Pulmonary Critical Care and Sleep Medicine service lines by acting as the key leader for the supported practices Incorporates evidence based practice nurtures commitment to a common vision and shared valuesDevelops business plans by defining strategy gaining system support assigning accountability to appropriate staff andor physicians monitoring progress making appropriate adjustments through problem resolution within and across the practices and finding solutions to obstacles Drives operational excellence and resultsCreates implements and drives improvement efforts through effective staff involvement in the practices project management and communication through LEAN methodologies and HW initiatives Participates in the development and implementation of policies and procedures that directly impact patient care and achieve established operating metrics and increase profitability Collaborates with regional hospital leadership on employed Medical Group provider employment agreements negotiations and programmatic structuresFacilitates the development of improvements through integration and standardization of operations across the programs Ensure compliance with all internal policies and external regulationsEnsures superior customer service by providing senior level guidance and support in the development and management of customer employee and physician relationships within the practices Continuously measures patient satisfaction and makes improvements where appropriate and promotes great patient experience Assists the local managers in resolving patient complaints that may be improved through an amended processDrives the development and execution of short and long term business plans and corresponding budgets by collaborating with physician leaders and administration in strategic planning and marketing for practices during ambulatory expansionsExecutes business plans by assigning accountability to appropriate staff andor physicians monitoring progress making appropriate adjustments and finding solutions to obstaclesMaximizes and aspects of specialty careExperience with strategic planning processesStrong operational leadership skills including experience providing business leadership to physiciansExceptional interpersonal and relationship building skillsExperience developing and using metrics to measure the performance of teams processes and services Strong financial analysis skills Solid understanding of the operational impact on profit and loss and experience creating and managing a budgetFiscal understanding of physician practice revenue and reimbursement cycle Knowledge of regulatory compliance issuesStrong experience as a leader and developer of high performing teams and employeesStrong problem solving and decision making skillsSolid change management skillsStrong human resource management skillsWe take
