A caregiver in this role communicates and dispatches a wide variety of customer service requests to coordinate clinic-wide resources that meet individual caller needs, ensuring exceptional and timely customer service.  A caregiver in this position works part-time 24-hour workweek, Monday-Friday between 7:00am-3:30pm and 10:00am-2:00pm. No weekend or evening requirements.

For the first 4-weeks, a new caregiver in this role must be willing to train on 2nd shift from 3:00pm to 11:30pm. 

 

 A caregiver who excels in this role will:  

Dispatch and processes requested services in a high call volume environment. 

Determine appropriate service type, urgency of work requested, and deciphers information for data input into the appropriate software application. 

Coordinate processing and reconciliation of expirations and autopsies between multiple departments, institutes, regional hospitals and outside entities. 

Accept, releases and logs patient, guest, and staff personal items. 

Other duties as assigned 

 

 Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:  

High school diploma or GED. 

Minimum of 2 years of experience in a customer service-related role, front desk or call center experience in a high volume area. 

Prior job experience with typing or computer training or equivalent coursework. 

Critical thinking, strong interpersonal and organizational skills, written and communication skills with exceptional customer service. 

Significant attention to detail. 

Knowledge of personal computers sufficient to input/extract data via computer. 

Strong problem-solving skills required to coordinate multiple resources and requests. 

Ability to work with various service requests software application, shared network drives and Microsoft Suite applications such as Excel, PowerPoint, etc. 

 

Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include: 

Healthcare experience preferred. 

Microsoft Office experience preferred. 

Notary Public (NP) preferred.

Physical Requirements:

Ability to perform work in a stationary position for extended periods

Ability to operate a computer and other office equipment

Ability to travel throughout the hospital system

Ability to communicate and exchange accurate information

In some locations, ability to move up to 10 pounds
