Service Engineer (Electrical)
Job Description Are you looking to take your service engineering skills to the next level? Our Client is seeking a technically proficient and service-oriented Service Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a solid foundation in marine automation systems, a proactive work ethic, and a professional manner. This role involves hands-on troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair of onboard equipment, often under irregular hours. A strong commitment to safety, customer satisfaction, and continuous improvement is essential.
  
Role:
Lead technical operations onboard as the primary engineer-in-charge Conduct training sessions for internal engineers and external service agents Provide technical and administrative support to office operations   
Responsibilities:
Perform onboard maintenance, inspections, repairs, troubleshooting, and system modifications Plan and manage field service schedules and activities Identify and resolve equipment malfunctions efficiently Supervise repairs and implement technical upgrades Install new systems and technologies as required Ensure proper upkeep and preventive maintenance of onboard equipment Direct and oversee technicians and engineers during service operations Deliver technical remote support to both customers and internal peers as needed Prepare detailed service reports covering job progress, travel/work hours, technical findings, and recommendations Communicate job status and updates to supervisors and relevant stakeholders Deliver technical support and training to customers, agents, and internal teams Coordinate and dispatch necessary parts, drawings, and documentation to service agents Maintain tools in good condition for safety and high-quality Develop manuals and support documents to share technical insights and best practices Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance service delivery and operational efficiency Collect and relay customer feedback to internal teams for continuous improvement Review service reports and maintenance records to support sales and business development Fulfill all responsibilities typically assigned to Technicians Requirements:
Diploma or higher qualification in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or a related discipline Minimum 4 years of hands-on experience with vessel main engine automation systems or equivalent marine control systems
