About this Role

PAR Electrical Contractors, LLC is seeking a Service Desk Technician to support company employees seeking technical assistance with technology devices, software, and access to technology resources. This role responds to support requests both locally and remotely, diagnoses technical issues, and implements effective solutions or escalates issues when appropriate.

What You'll Do Perform remote troubleshooting using diagnostic techniques and targeted questionsDetermine the best solution based on the issue and details provided by employeesWalk staff through the problem-solving processEscalate unresolved or complex issues to the appropriate support personnelAssist staff with hardware, software, and basic connectivity challengesMaintain workstation components through repair or replacement as neededAssist call-ins or in-person walk-ups with technical difficultiesFacilitate staff access to technology resources through standard processesRecord events, issues, and resolutions within the company’s ticketing systemDocument staff technology interactions and troubleshooting stepsInstall, configure, and troubleshoot workstation PCs and other computer-related hardwareIdentify problems, research solutions, and guide staff through corrective actionsProvide help-desk support and resolve problems to the user’s satisfactionMaintain workstation configurations, utilities, and software default settingsInstall, test, and configure new workstations, peripheral equipment, and softwareAssist with onboarding of new users, including account setup and system accessProvide basic computer training and guidance to staff as neededPerform routine computer maintenance and updatesFollow company standards and document internal proceduresIdentify and suggest improvements to service desk proceduresRegularly communicate with staff regarding ongoing issues and support requestsWork a standard 40 hours per week, with occasional after-hours on-call rotationPerform other duties as assigned What You'll Bring Basic knowledge of operating systems and service desk support practicesBasic understanding of networking concepts such as IP addressing, Wi-Fi connectivity, and VPN accessAbility to troubleshoot desktop software and hardwareFamiliarity with troubleshooting mobile devices and tabletsAbility to provide efficient technical support over the phone and in personStrong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to resolve common technical issuesAbility to diagnose issues and escalate complex problems appropriatelyStrong organizational and time management skills with attention to detailProficiency in Windows Operating SystemsExcellent verbal and written communication skillsProficiency in Microsoft Office What You'll Get
