This role involves performing maintenance for desktop client PC hardware and software, troubleshooting user equipment problems, and ensuring systems remain secure and up to date. You will work under the direct supervision of the Service Desk Coordinator and general supervision of the Information Services Manager.Responsibilities: Respond to service desk tickets, phone calls, emails, and in-person requestsTroubleshoot and repair PC hardware and software issuesSet up and install computer peripherals such as keyboards, mice, scanners, printers, and external drivesInstall and maintain software, security patches, and updatesPerform hardware replacements (screens, hard drives, keyboards, etc.)Backup and restore data on desktop and laptop machinesSet up presentations and meetings in training rooms (both virtual and in-person)Securely recycle old equipment and ensure proper data removalCreate and maintain support documentation for recurring issuesEscalate tickets to senior staff when requiredQualifications and Requirements:Minimum of 3 years’ experience troubleshooting and maintaining computer hardware/softwareCertificate program in computer repair technology or related training (Associate’s degree or CompTIA A+ preferred)Strong knowledge of Windows, Microsoft Office, and related applicationsAbility to manage multiple tasks and prioritize based on ticket urgencyStrong written and verbal communication skills with excellent customer service focusValid driver’s license requiredMust pass pre-employment screenings (background check, drug/alcohol test, and MVR)Must successfully pass pre-employment screeningBenefits and Perks:Payrate: $23.33Medical, Vision, Dental available 401K and Referral Bonus Program Training and Growth OpportunitiesYour New Organization:Play a critical role in IT support when you join our client as a Service Desk Technician.
