Service Consultant
Description We are seeking a highly professional and sharp Service Consultant to join our team within a shop setting. The ideal candidate will act as the primary liaison between customers and the shop, ensuring an exceptional service experience. This individual must possess a solid background in automotive or trucking industries, enabling them to provide technical advice and professional guidance to our clientele. The Service Consultant is expected to demonstrate outstanding communication skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to maintaining workplace professionalism at all times. Key Responsibilities: + Act as the primary contact for customers, providing professional, friendly, and responsive service while addressing needs and concerns effectively. + Evaluate customer requirements, recommend services/products, and deliver accurate cost estimates with detailed explanations. + Utilize automotive/trucking experience to answer technical questions, collaborate with technicians, and stay informed on industry advancements. + Clearly communicate service options, maintain accurate records, and keep customers updated on progress. + Demonstrate professionalism, work collaboratively with the team, and contribute to a positive shop environment. Requirements + Proven experience in a service consultant or customer-facing role, preferably within automotive, trucking, or a related industry. + Strong technical knowledge of automotive and/or trucking systems, maintenance, and repair processes. + Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written. + Proactive problem-solving and organizational abilities with a keen attention to detail. + High level of professionalism, integrity, and commitment to excellence. + Proficiency with computer systems and relevant software tools (e.g., CRM, POS systems). Preferred Experience: + Prior roles in automotive or trucking customer service, repair shops, dealerships, or related fields. + Experience working in high-volume, customer-centric environments where multitasking is essential.
