Location: Glaisdale Parkway, Bilborough, Nottingham

Role: Full Time

We are seeking an energetic and valued contributor to manage and develop our Service Centre based in Nottingham!

Mitie Landscapes have a brand new opportunity for a Service Centre Manger to join our team to manage the  full responsibility for the day to day operations in the centre where the team service and repair grounds maintenance and gritting equipment. 

 

You will be responsible for.

Managing and leading the Mitie Landscapes Service Centre team. This will entail the scheduling of all service and repair work for grounds and gritting equipment, transport and distribution of new kit and return of end-of-life equipment. Ensuring all documentation, records and administration is carried out to ensure that reports and other relevant information can be provided to the Landscapes business. Administering the team's holidays and pay, including monthly payroll input. Controlling machine parts stock ensuring sufficient for both seasonal servicing and ad hoc breakdown repairs. Managing the programme for winter servicing of grass cutting machinery & summer servicing of winter machinery. Recruiting and train mechanics as and when required, ensuring the team is resourced, competent and equipped to follow agreed systems and procedures. Ensuring you and your team comply with company quality, health and safety requirements within the Company's LiveSafe programme, implementing a positive health and safety culture. Managing the interface with the Mitie property department and deal with landlord related issues.

 

 What we are looking for

Previous supervisory/ management experience is required, Skilled and experienced in People management, Understanding of operational IT systems, excel spreadsheets, Microsoft Office, Can demonstrate knowledge and understanding of Health, Safety, Environment and Quality systems and the management of safe systems of work associated with the role and work environment, Confident communicator, dealing with contract managers, teams and mechanics, Able to lead, motivate and manage a team effectively Adaptable, organised and driven Seeks out and takes opportunities to learn new skills as part of personal professional development Leads by example in all role activities
