PRIMARY FUNCTION:

To replenish par level areas with supplies.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Inventories par level areas using electronic handheld readers.

Restocks par levels read.

Delivers supplies to par level area.

Maintains and arranges item on shelves for maximum efficiency.

Removes debris and boxes from the warehouse.

Communicates stock outs, unit of measure discrepancies, and order problems to the Manager of Distribution.

Performs assigned work safely, adhering to established departmental safety rules and practices.  Reports to supervisor, in a timely manner, any unsafe activities, conditions, hazards, or safety violations that may cause injury to oneself, other employees, patients and visitors.

Performs other related duties as required.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

High school graduate or equivalent.

Valid Driver’s License.

One year hospital experience.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILL, AND ABILITY REQUIREMENTS:

Knowledge of medical supplies preferred.

Operating powered industrial equipment required.

Ability to perform excessive walking, lifting and standing.

Basic computer skills with knowledge of Outlook.                        

Good oral and written communication skills.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

Frequent lifting up to 35 lbs. of supplies in replenishment of par levels.

Must be able to push a cart with a maximum of 250 lbs. of stock to end-user areas.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

Unavoidable noise, dust and dirt in a busy hospital environment.
