Join Our Team as a Service Assistant II at ChristianaCare!

ChristianaCare is seeking a full-time Service Assistant II to support our Textiles department by ensuring clean, sanitary linens are processed and delivered with care. This vital role helps keep our operating rooms and hospital spaces safe and ready for healing.

Schedule:
6:00 AM – 2:30 PM
Includes every other weekend and holiday rotation

What You’ll Do:

Operate laundry equipment safely and efficientlySort, wash, dry, and fold linens — including surgical packsInspect and repair linens to meet hospital standardsRestock carts and deliver linens to designated areasMaintain a clean and organized work environmentUphold safety standards and report any concerns promptly

What You Bring:

High school diploma or equivalent preferredOne year of experience or on-the-job trainingAbility to operate laundry machinery and follow proceduresStrong hand-eye coordination and verbal communication skillsPhysical ability to lift up to 40 lbs and stand/walk for extended periods

Working Conditions:

Exposure to chemicals, odors, loud noises, and potentially infectious materialsFast-paced environment with a strong focus on safety and teamwork
