Make a Difference Behind the Scenes

Join our dedicated team in maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment across three retail kitchens. Your work ensures that our patients, visitors, and staff enjoy meals in a space that meets the highest standards of cleanliness and safety.

Schedule: Primarily 3:00 PM–11:30 PM or 5:30 AM–2:00 PM
Shift Rotation: Based on department needs
Includes: Every other weekend and holidays

What You’ll Do:

Clean and sanitize kitchen floors, equipment (small and large), hoods, serving lines, dishrooms, and refrigerators/freezers (reach-ins and walk-ins)Occasionally assist with meal service and pot washing dutiesPerform sanitation tasks including dish room operations, trash removal, and other kitchen assignmentsUphold infection prevention protocols including but not limited to safe food storage, FIFO practices, and proper labelingComplies with Christiana Care and department sanitation/safety responsibilities in the performance of all job assignments in accordance with Federal and State Health Codes, Joint Commission, and OSHA standards and requirements

A team player with a “customer-first” attitudeHigh school diploma or equivalent preferredPrevious food service experience is a plusCommitment to cleanliness, safety, and service excellence
