POSITION SUMMARY:        

Join our team as an Service Assembler supporting the repair and refurbishment of Plasma Power Products. In this hands‑on role, you will repair customer owned equipment by performing mechanical assembly, and testing. You’ll work with a supportive team, receive clear daily instructions, and gain exposure to a variety of repair and quality processes. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys practical, meaningful work with daily variety and opportunities to build technical skills.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Perform hands‑on mechanical repairs and assembly work on returned customer units Use clear work instructions, drawings, schematics, and technician guidance to repair, modify, and rebuild products Operate tools and equipment such as torque drivers, soldering irons, hand tools, hydraulic presses, ovens, and lifting systems Test repaired units using automated test systems software to ensure quality performance Identify additional customer service needs during repair and help ensure units are restored to high standards Accurately document all repair steps, findings, and test results Maintain fixtures and equipment, performing basic calibration, preventive maintenance, and corrective maintenance Identify quality concerns and communicate them promptly to support continuous improvement Collaborate with team members and communicate effectively in a supportive, professional environment Follow all required safety standards and ISO procedures Contribute to a positive team environment focused on quality, productivity, and customer satisfaction

 

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

Location: Fort Collins, CO Clean, modern manufacturing environment that encourages teamwork and continuous learning Hands‑on, technical work using a variety of assembly and test equipment A balance of structured tasks and opportunities to learn new processes and skills Supportive team‑based culture with training and development Overtime opportunities during high‑demand periods Physical Requirements: Standing: ~40% Walking: 20% Sitting: ~40% Carrying/Lifting: Up to 30 lbs. Pushing/Pulling (on cart): Up to 200 lbs.

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

Ability to perform basic reading, writing, and math needed for documentation and measurements Strong mechanical aptitude and interest in hands‑on technical work Ability to identify components and follow technical documentation such as drawings and assembly instructions Basic computer skills and willingness to learn new systems Demonstrated ability to work well in a team‑focused, adaptable environment

 

EXPERIENCE:

Familiarity with ESD (Electrostatic Discharge) practices Basic soldering skills or willingness to learn General computer proficiency Exposure to ERP systems (SAP) helpful Prior experience in electro‑mechanical assembly or repair is beneficial Knowledge of IPC standards preferred but not required Ability to read mechanical drawings or willingness to learn

 

EDUCATION:

High school diploma or equivalent

 

COMPENSATION:                            

As required by multiple state pay transparency laws, Advanced Energy provides a reasonable range of compensation for each job posting.  Actual compensation is influenced by an array of factors including, but not limited to, skill set, level of experience, and specific office location.  The range of starting pay for this role is $20.00 to $25.00 per hour.
