We are seeking a skilled Server Engineer with experience in supporting corporate server infrastructure. This is a project-focused role where you’ll manage solutions from design to implementation, ensuring smooth handovers to the Operations team. You’ll work on a variety of server technologies, including hardware, operating systems, virtual platforms, backups, and monitoring systems.

What you’ll love:Attend project meetings and collaborate with Project Managers, internal teams, and third-party vendors.Design and implement server solutions in accordance with company and industry standards.Install and configure server infrastructure, including hardware, operating systems, monitoring, and backup solutions.Ensure all designs and solutions are documented clearly and accurately.Hand over completed solutions to the Operations team for ongoing support.Build and maintain strong working relationships across the Asda Technology function.Follow company security policies while designing, installing, and configuring solutions.Manage your workload effectively, ensuring all tasks are completed within deadlines.What you’ll need:Proven experience supporting Windows, Linux servers, and VMware infrastructure (L3 level).Strong communication skills, with the ability to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines.A logical, methodical approach to problem-solving.Strong customer service skills and the ability to build effective relationships with internal teams.Self-motivated, capable of managing your own workload with minimal supervision.Eagerness to learn new skills and stay updated with evolving technologies.Desirable Skills & Experience:Experience in Enterprise Retail IT environments.Familiarity with Azure-hosted server solutions.Knowledge of automation tools such as PowerShell, Ansible and Packer.Microsoft Server, or VMware certifications.Why Asda Technology?
