The right candidate will beresponsible for assisting in the maintenance, configuration, and reliable operation of multiple partitions on multiple AS400 systems for DR Horton and Forestar. The Server Administrator I-AS400 also actively assists to resolve problems and issues with minimal disruption to Operations within DR Horton and Forestar companies.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Participate in the planning, scheduling and performing proactive maintenance including AS400 Operating System (OS400), 3rd party software, and PTF installationAssist in monitoring and performing maintenance of communication and replication between production and DR Horton partitionsAid in performing preventive scheduled maintenance and IPL of iSeries systems to ensure optimum performance levelsTrain to be responsible for timely backups of all partitions using BRMSEnsure backup tapes are maintained offsite and recycled in accordance with DR Horton standardsParticipate in regular backup operations and assist in implementing appropriate processes for data protection, disaster recovery, and failover proceduresProvide both external and internal auditors with snapshots of backups as requestedProvide support for the escalation and communication of status to management and internal customersWork with cross-functional project teams to implement highly available solutionsConducts all business in a professional and ethical manner to serve customers and increase the goodwill and profit of the companyAbility to participate in on call rotationAbility to work overtimeAbility to regularly work overnightIn office Monday- FridayD.R.
