Be a part of the pre-opening team for the Omni Ft. Lauderdale Hotel!
Opening Fall 2025, the Omni Ft. Lauderdale Hotel is a 29-story hotel, located at 1950 Eisenhower Blvd, and connected directly to the Broward County Convention. The property offers 801 guest rooms and suites, multiple restaurants, a vibrant rooftop bar, a sprawling pool, spa, and fitness center. The hotel will also have over 120,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor meeting and event space, including a grand ballroom, junior ballroom, 25 breakout rooms and pre-function meeting space with waterfront views.

ResponsibilitiesESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Adhere to all Omni rules, policies, procedures, and standardsGreet guests by utilizing the All-In impression standards set forth by OmniSet tables according to type of event and service standards as directed by leadershipSuggestively sell items and answer questions/offer suggestions on both food and beverage menu selectionsCommunicate with culinary team regarding meal requirements, allergies, dietary needs and special requestsRecord transaction in MICROS system in a timely manner Adhere to cash handling standardsEnsure satisfaction with each food course and/or beveragePresent accurate check to guest and process paymentMaintain cleanliness of work areas throughout the dayStation set-up and breakdown/side-workPerform any other duties as assigned by leadershipBe pleasant, smile and greet all guests, using surnames when obtained QualificationsQUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum 1 year serving experienceMust acquire TIPS and ServSafe certificationsDeveloped knowledge of wine, spirits, and beer with experience selling and presenting winesPrevious cash handling experience requiredAbility to clearly and pleasantly communicate both verbally and in writing in English with guests, management and co-workersAbility to accurately and efficiently input information into MICROSAbility to handle stressful situations, while maintaining a calm and welcoming demeanorAbility to work cohesively with co-workers both within and outside of your departmentAbility to prioritize, organize and follow up on guest requests and needs in a fast-paced environmentExcellent customer service, service recovery and problem-solving skillsMust be able to work a variety of shifts, including weekends and holidays
ENVIRONMENT & POSITION ANALYSIS:
Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing up to 50 pounds without assistance.Position requires frequent bending, reaching overhead, twisting, and consistent use of hands and armsMust be able to stand and walk for an extended period or for an entire work shift in indoor/outdoor environments
