We’re seeking an experienced SEO & Content Specialist to join our Marketing Liligo team in Barcelona (Hybrid) to work closely with the Digital Marketing team, the IT back-end team, and Design teams to develop and execute an effective content strategy that generates qualified traffic and improves our SEO positioning.

What you will do: 

The Role’s Key Responsibilities and Tasks

You will have clear objectives, great challenges and a clear overview of how your work contributes to the global company project and its customers. As a SEO & Content Specialist in the Marketing Liligo team you will be in charge of:

Content Strategy and Creation (40%)

Design and execute, in close collaboration with the Content team and SEO Lead, an effective content strategy for Liligo

Write high-quality, engaging and SEO-optimized content (blog articles, travel guides, destination pages, product descriptions)

Create multilingual content adapted to Liligo’s different international markets

Develop content for different formats: long articles, infographics, videos, newsletters

Ensure editorial consistency and respect for the brand’s editorial line


Content Project Management and Coordination (25%)

Manage translation projects in various languages to support international development efforts

Coordinate agencies and freelancers: pricing negotiation, detailed briefing, deliverable tracking, quality control

Ensure content project tracking from conception to publication, ensuring deadlines and quality are met

Create and maintain an editorial calendar for Liligo’s different platforms

Coordinate with internal teams for content validation and publication


Technical Collaboration with IT Back-End Team (20%)

Work closely with the back-end development team to implement technical SEO recommendations

Participate in optimizing URL structure, meta tags, and site architecture

Collaborate on improving page loading speed and user experience

Ensure liaison between Marketing and IT teams for projects requiring technical developments

Document technical specifications for content projects requiring IT support


CMS Management and Publishing (10%)

Integrate, format and publish content via the WordPress content management system (CMS)

Optimize content for on-page SEO (title tags, meta descriptions, Hn structure, internal linking)

Manage media library and optimize images for web

Maintain and update existing content according to performance and SEO developments

Analysis and Reporting (5%)

Monitor SEO and content performance using tools like Google Analytics, Google Search Console, SEMrush

Produce monthly reports on content performance and SEO KPIs

Analyze search trends and identify new content opportunities

Conduct competitive and market intelligence to stay updated on industry developments

Education and Experience

Education: Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in digital marketing, communication, journalism, or related field

Experience: 1 to 3 years of experience in SEO and/or content marketing (internships and apprenticeships included)

Industry: Experience in the travel or e-commerce sector is a plus

Required Technical Skills

Writing: Excellent writing skills in French with impeccable spelling and grammar

SEO: Knowledge of fundamental SEO principles (on-page, off-page, technical)

CMS: WordPress proficiency for creating and modifying content

Google Tools: Excellent knowledge of Google Suite (Docs, Sheets, Drive) – exclusively cloud-based work

Languages: Native French, English level B2+ minimum

Appreciated Technical Skills

Knowledge of SEO tools (SEMrush, Ahrefs, Google Search Console, Screaming Frog)

Basic HTML/CSS knowledge for technical optimization

Experience with project management tools (Trello, Asana, Monday)

Knowledge of web analytics tools (Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager)

Proficiency in graphic design tools (Canva, Adobe Creative Suite)

AI

Experience with Applied AI Tools: Demonstrated comfort using practical AI tools such as Gemini or other AI-powered assistants.

Experimentation Mindset: Curiosity and eagerness to explore, experiment with, and integrate emerging AI-driven solutions into workflows.

AI-Enhanced Problem Solving: Ability to effectively leverage AI tools to streamline processes and enhance productivity.
