Northrop Grumman Defense Systems is seeking an Manager Software Engineering 2. This position is located in Roy, UT; Colorado Springs, CO; or Huntsville, AL.
What You'll Get To Do:
This position is a dual-hat position requiring the candidate to perform functional management activities as well as technical responsibilities on the program.
It is expected that the Functional management role will comprise approximately 20% of the candidate's time
It is also expected that the technical role will comprise approximately 80% of the candidate's time. Technical duties to include, but are not limited to the following:
Data visualization – Make the visualization of large datasets accessible to non-engineersData Transformation – Work with Data Scientists to develop software to interpret data relationships and ontologiesDevelop software for analytics tools used for analysis of complex statistical and machine learning models to build predictive and prescriptive strategies.Interface with requirements and deriving design from requirements in a model based systems engineering environmentDerive and allocate requirements into detailed designDesigns, develops and tests displays, controls and functionalityDesigns, develops and tests simulation software for use in data analysisDesign and develop artificial intelligence algorithms to enable data analysisDevelops and maintains databases used to store complex data and data relationshipsCollaborates with Systems and Quality Engineers to ensure software requirements are met and develop Digital Transformation Dashboards and other software solutionsPerforms software peer reviews, version control, automated tests, software analysis, continuous integration, and continuous delivery in accordance with DevSecOps processes and best practicesAs a full-me employee of Northrop Grumman, you are eligible for our robust benefits package including:

The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off. This position may offer a competitive relocation package.
You’ll Bring These Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree and 6 years of relevant experience, or 10 years of experience in lieu of a degree.Must be a US Citizen with an active DoD Secret Clearance with an investigation date within the last 6 years Must be able to obtain and maintain a Special Program Access within a period of time, that meets current business needs1 year of experience leading projects, driving performance against schedules, and interfacing with customers.Experience developing semantic data ontologies.Experience with statistics, including sampling techniques, survey design, and precision measures.Experienced in programming languages, statistical packages, and computer-based data systems.Experience working with large datasets.These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:
Ability to provide technical guidance on data design, collection, and statistical analysis.Strong written and oral communication skills for reports, presentations, and documentation.Leadership skills to support management, peers, and customers in data science best practices.Ability to work independently towards long-range goals and objectives.Initiative in determining and pursuing effective courses of action.Experience in developing and guiding advanced technological ideas into final products.Primary Level Salary Range: $135,100.00 - $224,000.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
