Job Description SummaryThe Senior Wind Hub Technician position requires local travel within the hub. The Senior Wind Hub Technician is a critical and active role to maintain optimal function and output at the wind site by working daily on turbine operations, safety, quality control and warranty repair(s). Essential Responsibilities
As the Senior Wind Hub Technician you will:
Qualifications/Requirements
High School Diploma or GED, andAbility to pass Technical Knowledge Assessment, andMinimum of 4 years of wind trouble-shooting experience, and at least1 year EHS, SQC, Lead role, orMinimum of 6 years of wind trouble-shooting experience, orMinimum of 3 years of wind trouble-shooting experience AND Bachelor's Degree in relevant field.Eligibility Requirements
Passing a Technical Knowledge AssessmentBasic computer skillsMust have and maintain a valid driver’s licenseWillingness to travel up to 100% of the timeAbility and willingness to lift repetitive weight of up to 45 lbs. unassisted and climb towers of 300+ feet regularlyMeet and maintain specified manufacturer weight limits not to exceed 300lbs including required gearAbility and willingness to work in range of environments to include but not limited to industrial facilities, manufacturing facilities, and power industry facilitiesEffectively prioritize work according to contract obligationsAbility and willingness to take initiative, and work without direct supervision, andFlexibility to work rotating shift schedules, and on-call per site needs.Occasional overnights may be required per hub needs.Desired Characteristics
Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree in a Technical, Electrical, or Electronics field from an accredited college or universityTechnical Certification in Wind Energy or Electrical / Electronic fieldAbility to work with a wide variety of personnel at all levels inside and outside of the Wind FarmWind turbine experienceAbility and willingness to take initiative, and work without direct supervisionElectrical, mechanical, and/or hydraulic experienceExperience using hydraulic power toolsExperience with heavy equipment required for facility maintenance with a working knowledge of crane and rigging requirementsPlease note: This is not a remote position. The work location for this position includes all wind sites within Oklahoma Hub 1. You are expected to work at all sites within this Hub and report to work at any site within this Hub as assigned by your manager.
