Lumwana Mining Company seeks to recruit a highly motivated and committed employee for the position of Senior Welfare Officer - Psychologist to join the versatile Community Site Relations Team. We are in search of individuals who can champion Barrick's DNA by:

Your duties & Responsibilities will include but are not limited to the following:
Provide crisis intervention and trauma support following incidents such as accidents, critical events, or occupational stress. Conduct training and workshops on topics such as stress management, substance abuse prevention, conflict resolution, and emotional resilience. Maintain accurate and confidential records in compliance with ethical standards. Support the reintegration process for employees returning to work after mental health-related leave. Provide individual and group counselling services to employees facing work-related or personal challenges. Develop and implement wellness and mental health programs aligned with company goals. Work alongside counsellors, counselling clients, and schedule case management follow-ups.To be considered for the position, the applicant must have the following:
Grade 12 Certificate Degree in Psychology or any related profession Full registration with the Health Professions Council of Zambia (HPCZ) as a psychologist. Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a similar role, preferably in a high-stress or remote working environment (e.g., mining, oil & gas, military, or healthcare). Experience in trauma counselling, crisis response, and substance abuse interventions is an added advantage. Strong understanding of Zambian labor laws, employee wellness frameworks, and mental health policies Must have good communication skills Must be competent in incident and accident investigations Must have a valid Zambian Driver’s LicenseWhat We Can Offer You:
