Position Summary...Senior Video Editor – Creative Production Team (Senior Manager)

Summary:

We’re looking for a Senior Video Editor to join the Creative Production Team at Sam’s Club. This role is ideal for an experienced creative leader who excels at the intersection of motion graphics, video editing, and team management, with sophisticated design sensibilities and a passion for creating impactful content at speed. As a senior member of our lean and agile team, you’ll lead video projects across internal communications, social media, digital signage, executive messaging, and more. You’ll mentor other editors, set the standard for visual storytelling through advanced editing and animation skills, and collaborate strategically with leadership and cross-functional partners. This is a hands-on leadership role where you’ll drive excellence in post-production from concept to final polish, occasionally stepping in to direct production on set.

What you'll do...

People Development:
Manages, mentors, and develops team members, setting clear expectations, providing consistent feedback, and supporting career growth. Actively participates in hiring, training, and creating a culture of belonging and continuous learning.

Creative Asset Development:
Leads complex creative projects, translating business needs into innovative, high-quality video solutions. Demonstrates advanced expertise and continuously applies emerging best practices and technologies (e.g., AI-assisted editing, scripting automation) to elevate team capabilities and creative outcomes.

Creative Brief Review:
Maintains comprehensive awareness of multiple creative briefs from Marketing Strategy and Planning, Customer Experience, and E-Commerce Category Marketing. Provides strategic insights and ensures alignment across diverse projects. Provides and supports the implementation of business solutions by building relationships and partnerships with key stakeholders; identifying business needs; determining and carrying out necessary processes and practices; monitoring progress and results; recognizing and capitalizing on improvement opportunities; and adapting to competing demands, organizational changes, and new responsibilities.

Brand Management:
Provides senior-level review of creative work done by internal/external agency partners to confirm brand guidelines and standards (e.g., right colors, voice) are met. Models compliance with company policies and procedures and supports company mission, values, and standards of ethics and integrity by incorporating these into the development and implementation of business plans; using the Open Door Policy; and demonstrating and assisting others with how to apply these in executing business processes and practices.

Innovation and Strategy:
Continuously evaluates editing workflows and tools to drive efficiency, documenting internal processes and leading team training to enhance productivity. Assists in the audit/assessment of customer experience trends and develops recommendations for ongoing creative innovation and/or enhanced user experience and tools. Provides input into the customer experience strategy.

Project Management:
Manages and prioritizes multiple overlapping creative projects, clearly communicating project status and expectations to leadership and stakeholders, maintaining alignment on deadlines and deliverables.

Budgets and Financial Management:
Supports team budgeting processes and effectively manages resources for team projects, ensuring efficient use of assets and time. Provides input into team budget and manages budget for own work. Collaboration: Works with agency partners from inception to completion and resolves routine issues. Collaborates with other Marketing groups (Advertising, Marketing Strategy and Planning, Customer Experience, Digital, etc.) and stakeholders outside of Marketing (e.g., Category Management) to coordinate tasks and ensure campaign alignment

Collaboration:
Acts as a key liaison with internal stakeholders and external partners, resolving complex creative and logistical challenges. Builds strong relationships within Marketing (Advertising, Digital, etc.) and across the broader organization (Category Management, Executive Comms), ensuring cohesive alignment.

Coordinates, completes, and oversees job-related activities, ensuring alignment with customer and business needs, clear communication of goals, measurable accountability, and consistent adaptability to organizational changes.

Skills & Qualifications:

Minimum:

7+ years of professional video editing and motion graphics experience.Advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Premiere Pro, After Effects, Photoshop, Audition).Proven leadership or managerial experience in a creative setting.Strong ability to present creative ideas clearly to stakeholders at multiple levels.Excellent organizational skills, able to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Preferred:

Experience developing team training materials or workflow documentation.Familiarity with advanced video techniques including color grading, audio mixing, and AI editing workflows.Experience directing on set or with live production.Bachelor’s degree in Film, Media, or related discipline (or equivalent experience).

The annual salary range for this position is $90,000.00-$180,000.00
