Senior Vice President, Facultative Leader, Taiwan

Guy Carpenter, the world's premier reinsurance intermediary and strategic advisor, is seeking a highly qualified candidate for the leadership role of Senior Vice President, Facultative Leader in our Taipei office. This is an exciting opportunity to manage and develop our facultative business in Taiwan.

As part of the regional facultative team, you will manage all aspects of new, renewal, and prospective business, including marketing, solicitation of accounts, and the preparation and presentation of research and financial analysis.

We will count on you to:

Produce and manage business development and revenue generation for the Taiwan facultative business.Lead and manage relationships with reinsurance markets, ensuring effective communication and collaboration.Develop and present new, renewal, and prospective presentations to clients and reinsurers.Establish and maintain relationships with new clients, designing tailored programs to meet their needs.Support best broking practices, including client proposals, presentations, market submissions, and execution.Collaborate with brokers, technical support, and placement teams to ensure a high-quality business process.Ensure compliance and professional standards in business operations and documentation.Liaise with Guy Carpenter’s global network for expertise and support.Mentor and develop team members, providing technical training to clients and colleagues.

What you need to have:

Minimum of 10 years of solid experience in the facultative/P&C broking space, with a focus on the reinsurance sector.Strong experience in facultative markets, particularly in Taiwan.Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, such as insurance, risk management, or a related discipline.Customer-focused with a strong sales drive; self-motivated with excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.Well-connected in the market with existing relationships with local insurers.Commercially astute with a strong business sense and client-oriented mindset.Proven experience in team leadership, including growing, managing, and mentoring a team.Ability to manage and network in a multicultural environment, with strong gravitas and presence to influence stakeholders.Strong communication skills in English and Mandarin.Proficient in MS Office and able to leverage digital tools and technology effectively.
