The EU Global Vendor Onboarding team is looking for a Senior Vendor Manager (SVM) to build the future of Amazon’s EU Stores business by adding new and unique selection with the potential to grow to a customer-desired brand.
This role requires an effective leader and communicator, with strong business acumen, acute analytical skills, and the demonstrated ability to use creative thinking and innovation to solve complex problems. We are looking for an individual that enjoys fast-paced, data-driven environments and will be a passionate customer and category advocate within Amazon. The successful candidate is a self-starter with a passion for retail and has superb business judgment with a track record of successful negotiations.
Key job responsibilities
• Understand the industry, seasonality and business trends/events, and continually monitor competitor/industry developments.
• Identify new selection expansion opportunities and build new business management mechanisms.
• Have an understanding of the customer needs, both existing and potential, and use that knowledge to advocate for and improving the shopping experience.
• Lead the Joint Business Plan Strategy and execution with internal and external senior leadership.
• Dives deep into inputs and understands the downstream impact of changes to pricing, selection, and convenience for subcategories.
• Manage key vendor relationships - manage supplier/partner contracts, manage day-to-day relationships, and negotiate and secure funding.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams, and communicate with internal and external teams, while meeting tight deadlines.
• Manages P&L and develops plans that drive revenue and margin improvements for the business.
• Establish a partnership with business leaders across Amazon business and product units.
• Seek out ways to automate & simplify manual processes.
• Drives broad adoption and provide an unparalleled customer experience.
