**Duration: Approximately 5 months contract (with possible extension)** **Program Office Notes:** + Gap in coverage currently. Contract to start with possiblity to extend or convert based on overall business need and candidate performance. Will partner with a Product Manager and a scrum team to help design and build a new project for early next year. Very "AI first" product, someone who has some AI expertise (designing products for using AI in particular) highly preferred. Senior level role 5-7 years of experience at least, looking for someone who is a strategic thinker, and can collaborate well with other designers, PMs, etc. This role does need to work closely with our conversational designer. Data visual skills would be helpful as well (consumer driven or enterprise). Team is currently comprised of 4 UX individuals (Design team) and around 6 different Product Managers. Remote and can be located anywhere in the US. Generally 9A - 5P local time daily. 40 hours a week, Monday-Friday. + Systems: Figma (expert level). Use of AI in Design and Research. If they've done user research on their designs, that would be helpful (they are currently in another discovery phase). + Candidate Value Prop: Very innovative space they are in now. Reimagining a lot of what they have in market today, a lot of cool stuff in progress that they will have a hand in. Lots of discovery work and user testing. We’re looking for a Senior Product Designer with a strong UX background to champion the strategic thinking and to help launch a new product for higher education. You'll partner closely with content, product, and engineering teams and be responsible for: Creating new UX based on existing design components Defining the North Star vision + You will be challenged in an organization that values vision, execution, and persistence. You will take ownership of our product by solving complex problems in simple, elegant ways.Product Designers at company are embedded within product teams that are deeply collaborative, and each member is directly responsible for the team’s success. **Responsibilities:** + Define and create the user flows for full end to end experience + Create high and low fidelity flows & prototypes + Collaborate with product and engineering teams throughout the product development process + Understand and advocate for user needs + Define key metrics to track success and business impact + Maintain clear team alignment around goals and priorities + Approach an open-ended problem space with vigor and clarity + Think holistically about the user journey and product ecosystem + Guide user research and testing, ensuring usability and product consistency + Be data-driven and iteratively improve the experience + Design for AI-driven teaching and learning experiences **Experience:** + 7+ years product design experience with an online portfolio of relevant design work + Skilled in design at the detail and systems level + Confident communicator who can clearly articulate your process, approach, and rationale to others + Experience working in a collaborative team comprised of other designers, content strategists, product managers, and developers **Skills:** + Comfortable working with multiple stakeholders at a time, & knowing when to push for polish and when "good enough" is good enough + Prior experience defining and leading user research efforts + Awareness of design trends across web and mobile devices + Understanding the relationship of visual, interaction, and content disciplines + Expert proficiency in design tools such as Figma (preferred) and Adobe Creative Suite + Experience with educational content (preferred) **Desired Skills** + Problem-solving – not just making things pretty, but solving real user and business problems in an environment that has dependencies / tech limitations + User research – experience running tests on your designs, being able to interpret findings and iterating your work based on collected data & themes + Time management – juggling multiple projects, knowing when to push for polish and when “good enough” is good enough + Cross-functional collaboration – working smoothly with product, engineers, and other designers **Education:** Bachelors or equivalent experience **About US Tech Solutions:** US Tech Solutions is a global staff augmentation firm providing a wide range of talent on-demand and total workforce solutions.
