We’re looking for a passionate and detail-oriented UX Designer to help shape intuitive, inclusive, and engaging digital experiences. In this role, you’ll turn user insights into thoughtful design solutions that balance user needs with business goals. You’ll collaborate across disciplines to define end-to-end experiences that delight users and drive measurable impact. This is a hybrid position requiring to work from any of CGI Atlantic offices between 2-3 times every week.
- Conduct user research, interviews, and usability testing to uncover user needs, behaviors, and pain points.
- Translate research insights into clear, actionable artifacts such as personas, journey maps, and experience flows.
- Design intuitive wireframes, high-fidelity mockups, prototypes, and interactive concepts for responsive web and mobile experiences.
- Partner closely with UI Designers, Product Managers, and Developers to ensure design intent, feasibility, and fidelity throughout implementation.
- Define, maintain, and evolve design systems, interaction patterns, and standards to promote consistency and scalability across products.
- Leverage both quantitative and qualitative data to validate and refine design solutions, optimizing usability and overall experience performance.
- Ensure all designs adhere to accessibility guidelines (WCAG) and responsive design best practices.
- Communicate and present design concepts to stakeholders, effectively articulating design rationale, user impact, and business value.
- 6+ years of professional experience as a UX Designer, Product Designer, or Interaction Designer.
- Proven track record in designing intuitive, user-centered experiences for web and/or mobile platforms.
- Advanced proficiency with design and prototyping tools such as Figma, Adobe XD, or Sketch.
- Hands-on experience planning and conducting user research, usability testing, and heuristic evaluations.
- Skilled in creating wireframes, interactive prototypes, and detailed user flows that clearly communicate design intent and interaction logic.
- Strong understanding of information architecture, interaction design principles, and design systems.
- Familiarity with front-end development concepts (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) to collaborate effectively with engineering teams.
- A strong portfolio showcasing user-centered design thinking, creative problem-solving, and end-to-end design process.
- Experience contributing to or managing UI design systems, and understanding of visual hierarchy, motion, and micro-interaction design.
- Working knowledge of Design Thinking and Lean UX methodologies.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments using collaboration tools such as Jira and Confluence.
- Understanding of accessibility standards (WCAG) and commitment to inclusive design.
- Familiarity with analytics and testing tools (e.g., Hotjar, Google Analytics, Mixpanel, Maze, UserTesting, Optimal Workshop) to evaluate and refine designs based on data.
