Responsibilities would include the review of hearing decisions or recommended appeal decisions for legal analysis, appropriate decision writing, and consistency with prior Board and Court precedents; and the mentoring and development of a team of ALJs. You would be responsible for hearings as needed and appeals pursuant to USDOL and NYS law and Due Process requirements. Minimum Qualifications Non-Competitive Qualifications:Admission to the NYS bar and three years of post-licensure professional legal experience including one year of service as an Unemployment Insurance Referee.Competitive Qualifications:To be considered for this position, a review of your state history is needed.
