About this role This is a field TS&D role to serveFlexiblePackaging marketof Dow Packaging and Specialty Plastic (P&SP) products and technologies. The role is expected to drive P&SP business growth in Southeast Asia. The responsibilities include providing technical support to customers, qualifying Dow products at customers and value chain partners, maintaining good customer relationship together with account managers, identifying growth opportunities in the market, building new application development projects. This role is to be based inJakarta, Indonesia. Some travel within Asia Pacific and overseas travel to other Dow locations may be required to promote business, enhance one’s competency and or share learnings. Responsibilities Working closely with Account Managers, Research Scientists, Application Technology Leaders, Product Technology Leaders and Technical Service and Development Engineers and Technologists, he/she will have responsibility for new customer and new application development. The key responsibilities of this job include: + As customer interface on technical aspects, work together with account managers to provide high quality technical service to customers, and to keep healthy relationship with customers. High quality customer technical services include but not limit to product introduction, recommendation of packaging material design by using Dow’s products, conducting trials at customer plant, handling quality complaints and etc. + Drive qualification Dow products at customer plants, via identify application area, providing formulation design, conducting trials. + Design experiments and organize characterization and application testing in Dow laboratories to accelerate trouble shooting, product qualification and application development. + Identify unmet needs from customers and markets, linking them with Dow’s technology and products, and eventually shaping them into application developmental projects. + Closely collaborate with internal multi-functional stakeholders and external customers, explore, prioritize, shape, drive, implement and lead customer projects and developmental projects. + Closely follow technology evolution and market trend, translate the evolved performance requirements of products, fabrication and end-use into development project proposals. + Monitor market intelligence, conduct competitive analysis and develop them into project proposals. Qualifications + The ideal candidate need have a university degree or above, preferably major in Polymer Science, Material Science, Polymer Physics, Packaging Engineering or relative. + Approximately 3 years working experience in packaging material development and polymer processing is preferred. Knowledge of flexible and durable packaging industry, product design and compounding are an advantage. + The candidate must be comfortable at communicating in English. Your Skills The candidate needs possess exceptional written, verbal and presentation skills, be familiar with computer software, project management tools, and be adept at dealing with customers through good interpersonal relationships and negotiation skills.
