Individuals with high emotional intelligence, humility and openness to discovery will thrive in the teams we are building. **Job Summary** Members of the Large Electric Power Technical Sales Support team provide front line technical support to our dealers and sales teams with a focus on packaged diesel genset products. This role would be of interest for those with good technical knowledge and a desire to be closely involved with high profile projects for key account customers. This role helps to deliver sales results while also engaging and better understanding the needs of our key account data center customers and the dealers that support them. **What You Will Do** **Training & Technical Enablement** + Develop and execute technical training strategies to enhance sales team understanding of **Diesel and Gas product line** benefits. + Coordinate and deliver remote and in-person training modules, deep-dive sessions, and regional combined training events. + Organize and facilitate LEC-based and CTL-based training sessions for **Gas and Diesel technologies** . + Assemble, review, and publish Technical Sales Support (TSS) training modules, incorporating timely updates based on customer feedback. + Create and deliver product application training materials, including independent resources and white papers for frequently requested topics. **Consultation & Product Strategy** + Act as a liaison to Account Managers to understand customer needs and provide focused support for the data center market. + Collaborate with Account Managers, Cat Solutions (enclosure team), and dealers to standardize genset configurations for large data center customers. + Respond to customer and dealer technical inquiries from project concept through commissioning, including development of Design to Order (DTO) quotations for custom products. + Provide project-specific technical guidance and consult with dealers and sales teams on product offerings and applications. + Serve as an interface to core engineering teams to explore alternative solutions and support product application. + Deliver feedback to engineering and product definition teams to influence future product development and better align with customer needs. **What You Will Have** + **Customer Focus:** Extensive experience and knowledge of the values and practices that align customer needs and satisfaction as primary considerations in all business decisions and ability to leverage that information in creating customized customer solutions. + **Service Excellence:** Expert knowledge of customer service concepts and techniques; ability to meet or exceed customer needs and expectations and provide excellent service in a direct or indirect manner. + **Consulting:** Extensive experience and knowledge of techniques, roles, and responsibilities in providing technical or business guidance to clients, both internal and external; ability to apply consulting knowledge appropriately. + **Effective Communications:** Extensive experience and understanding of effective communication concepts, tools and techniques; ability to effectively transmit, receive, and accurately interpret ideas, information, and needs through the application of appropriate communication behaviors. + **Relationship Management:** Extensive experience and knowledge of relationship management techniques; ability to establish and maintain healthy working relationships with clients, vendors, and peers. + **T** **raining Operations:** Extensive experience and knowledge of training processes and procedures; ability to implement training related tasks and programs to ensure smooth daily and strategic training operations. **Degree Requirement** + Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Engineering Technology **Additional Information** + This position is Lafayette, IN and requires 5 day a week onsite availability + Domestic and international travel required, needs will vary with training schedule and audiences + Domestic relocation assistance is not offered for this position. + Visa sponsorship is not offered for this position. **About Caterpillar** Caterpillar Inc. is the world’s leading manufacturer of construction and mining equipment, off-highway diesel and natural gas engines, industrial gas turbines and diesel-electric locomotives.
