Job DescriptionThe Senior Trademark Paralegal will manage and protect one of the company’s global trademark portfolio, ensuring compliance with international trademark laws and supporting strategic brand protection initiatives. This role involves handling complex trademark prosecution, enforcement, and maintenance tasks, while serving as a key liaison between internal stakeholders and external counsel worldwide.
The key responsibilities are:
> Portfolio Management: Oversee global trademark portfolio, including filings, renewals, oppositions, and cancellations.
> Trademark Clearance: Conduct searches and provide risk assessments for new trademarks and product names.
> Enforcement & Litigation: Manage infringement cases, oppositions, and disputes in collaboration with internal & external counsel.
> Strategy & Advisory: Advise business units on trademark strategy, brand protection, and risk mitigation.
> Data Management: Maintain accurate trademark records in IP management systems, ensure data integrity, and generate reports for internal stakeholders.
> Compliance: Ensure adherence to international trademark laws and company policies.
> Budget & Vendor Management: Monitor costs and manage relationships with external law firms and service providers.
Education:
> Educated as a patent assistant or trademark paralegal or comparable qualification.
> Additional certification in trademark law (e.g., Certified Trademark Attorney) is a plus.
Experience:
> Minimum 7 years of experience in trademark law, preferably in an international company
> Proven track record in managing global trademark portfolios and enforcement actions.
Technical Skills:
> Strong knowledge of trademark laws, treaties, and procedures worldwide.
> Familiarity with databases; strong data management and reporting skills.
Soft Skills:
> Excellent analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
> Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
> Strong stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration skills.
Languages:
