1. Testing Operation & Trouble shooting
1.1/ Perform operations on testing machines according to work instructions, test plans, or under the guidance of a buddy/engineers
1.2/ Troubleshoot technical issues encountered during testing by following troubleshooting TIPS and guidance from engineers, including online troubleshooting support
2. Belt boxes Setup & Parts management
2.1/ Set up and configure test equipment, instruments, and test environments to ensure accurate and reliable test results, following work instructions, technical drawings, or guidance from engineers/buddies
3. Training
3.1/ Provide training and skill development for testing technicians in test setup, configuration, and assembly of belt boxes and instruments
3.2/ Prepare training materials, including documents, videos, and presentations, covering belt boxes, drawings, and parts modifications
4. Problem solving & Improvement
4.1/ Identify and implement improvements on current test benches/equipment for straightforward topics
4.2/ Lead problem-solving activities on the shop floor, guiding testing technicians in problem-solving methods
4.3/ Fabricate or modify parts according to work instructions, drawings, or under engineers’ guidance to ensure parts are ready for use in the workshop
5. Process & Document owner
5.1/ Issue and maintain documentation, including ODS, CP, 14Q, 4M changes, Operational WIs, and drawing control
6. Local and IPTN collaboration
6.1/ Communicate and share problems, knowledge, lessons learned, and experiences with local and IPTN counterparts
7. Other
7.1/ Perform other tasks as assigned in accordance with department strategies
Qualifications
1. Education:
- College or university degree in Automation, Electrical, Mechanical, or Mechatronics is preferred
- Relevant vocational or technical certifications in mechanical, electrical, or testing disciplines are an advantage
2. Work experience:
- At least 3 years of working experience in the manufacturing field. Experience in mold or toolshop work is preferred
- Experience in mold, toolshop, or mechanical assembly/disassembly is preferred
- Hands-on experience with test equipment, instruments, and operational troubleshooting
- Experience in leading problem-solving activities and mentoring junior technicians
- Exposure to SAP system for PM transactions is an advantage
- Knowledge of testing methodologies, tools, and technologies; proficient in test planning and test execution
- Familiarity with technical drawings, software applications (Teamcenter, SolidWorks, CAD), and reading/interpreting mechanical specifications and standards
3. Traits and Skills:
- Strong technical knowledge of testing methodologies, tools, and equipment
- Good at reading and interpreting mechanical drawings, specifications, and equipment manuals
- Strong training, presentation, and interpersonal skills; able to mentor and guide technicians
- Familiarity with problem-solving tools and capable of leading simple problem-solving activities
- Ability to identify and implement improvements on test benches, equipment, and processes
- Strong verbal and written English communication skills, able to communicate and share knowledge, lessons learned, and experiences with local and international counterparts
- Knowledge of SAP system for PM transactions and software applications (Teamcenter, SolidWorks, CAD...) is an advantage
- Competent in documentation management, including ODS, CP, 14Q, 4M changes, and operational work instructions
